полезная (реальная, эффективная) пропускная способность канала; пропускная способность на прикладном уровне
в компьютерных сетях - объём полезных данных, успешно переданных за единицу времени от отправителя получателю (без учёта протокольных накладных расходов и повторно переданных пакетов данных). Эта величина, которую можно рассматривать как пропускную способность на прикладном уровне (application layer) модели OSI, всегда меньше полной производительности (throughput)
